Program Overview - Business Administration

The Business Administration Program is designed to introduce the student to the wide range of functional areas and opportunities within today's business world. This program will develop highly skilled, multi-talented individuals through an emphasis on problem solving, critical thinking and teamwork.

• Hospitality Management
• Marketing
• Sport Management

The associate in science in Business Administration program provides students with a strong foundation in liberal arts, analytical skills, and an introduction to specialized professional courses. These subjects provide the focus which enables students to transfer to four-year colleges or universities and/or to enter the job market in entry-level positions.

In addition to general education outcomes, graduates will:

1. Develop the critical competencies including accounting, marketing, ethics, and leadership that are needed in successful managers.
2. Be prepared in the technology needed for today’s business world.
3. Understand the economic, technological, social, and legal issues confronting business and business managers.
4. Recognize that the traits of tolerance, leadership, and team playing are as important as technical skills.
5. Be prepared for careers in a global economy.
