Program Overview – Liberal Studies

The Liberal Studies program is designed for students who plan to continue their education at a four-year institution and who desire a solid foundation in general studies.

In addition to general education outcomes, graduates will:
  1. Demonstrate a strong foundation in general education, functional areas, and technical knowledge for academic success in upper division courses at four-year colleges and universities.
  2. Possess the knowledge, awareness, and appreciation of all aspects of a general educational academic experience, including competency, cognitive skills, ethical principles, human diversity, and quantitative and qualitative methods of reasoning.
  3. View education as a lifelong process.
