Accounting/Business Management

Marian Court College is currently seeking a qualified professional for a faculty position in its Business Department. This person will teach a broad range of undergraduate accounting and business management courses with capacity to teach international business and/or entrepreneurship. Additional responsibilities include developing curriculum and technologies related to teaching accounting and business management courses; participating in the department's assessment initiatives; advising students and student groups; and serving on departmental, division, and college committees.

A Ph.D. or a DBA with emphasis in accounting is preferred. A Master's degree or an MBA degree with a CPA certification and with substantial professional experience is required. College-level teaching experience highly desirable.

Position begins late August, 2008.


Assistant Professor of English

Marian Court College invites applications for Assistant Professor in the Department of English. The Assistant Professor of English will be responsible for teaching speech, composition, and literature courses, including a full range of developmental writing and composition courses. Other responsibilities include selecting computer programs, texts, and other materials for developmental English and composition classes; implementing appropriate practices to remediate developmental writing skills; developing curriculum and technologies related to teaching composition; participating in the department's assessment initiatives; advising students; and serving on departmental, division, and college committees.

A Ph.D. in English or English related area is preferred. A Master's degree in English or English related area with considerable experience teaching college English is required. A willingness to use technology for classroom instruction and experience in grant writing is highly desirable.

Position begins late August, 2008.
