Library Catalog

Athena: This is the library’s computerized book catalog. This is where to go to find books or videos in the library. Athena may be only be accessed on campus at Marian Court.

Online Databases: The following databases are available to you. Please contact the librarian for passwords to access these online resources.

SIRS: An excellent resource for virtually all term papers, SIRS is designed to meet everyday research needs of both students and faculty.  SIRS provides full-text articles, written by experts and respected journalists, on current events and social issues from over 1500 different periodicals.

ELibrary: An ideal place to begin your research, Electronic Library provides a diverse assembly of maps, pictures, and full text magazine and newspaper articles in addition to complete electronic encyclopedias and several books.  With strong subject concentrations in health and business, business and sports management students will find many articles and resources in ELibrary.  Some content is also available in Spanish. 

Proquest: Proquest provides a collection of U.S. and International criminal justice journals including information for professionals in law enforcement, corrections administrations, drug enforcement, rehabilitation, family law, and industrial security. 

Loislaw: LoisLaw provides criminal justice students with easy access to the full-text of primary laws (searchable by the type of law or the jurisdiction), secondary laws, and public records. 

Infotrac: Infotrac contains several individual databases with a wide variety of information ranging from general studies (i.e. Expanded Academic Index) to specific topics (i.e. Health Reference Center).  You may search each database individually (see below) or, for a greater number of results, select the “Select All” button at the top of the page after logging in to search all of the Infotrac databases to which Marian Court has access. 

InfoTrac OneFile    1980 - Present
A one-stop source for news and periodical articles on a wide range of topics: business, computers, current events, economics, education, environmental issues, health care, hobbies, humanities, law, literature and art, politics, science, social sciences, sports, technology, and many general interest topics. Millions of full-text articles. Updated daily.

Expanded Academic ASAP    1980 - Present
From arts and the humanities to social sciences, science and technology, this database meets research needs across all academic disciplines. Access scholarly journals, news magazines, and newspapers - many with full text and images!

Health Reference Center Academic    1980 - Present
Multi-source database provides access to the full text of nursing and allied health journals, plus the wide variety of personal health information sources in InfoTrac's award-winning Health Reference Center. All in a single, easy-to-use database.

General Business File ASAP    1980 - Present
Analyze company performance and activity, industry events and trends, as well as the latest in management, economics and politics. Access to a combination of broker research reports, trade publications, newspapers, journals and company directory listings with full text and images available.

Business and Company ASAP    1980 - Present
Providing researchers with information on companies, markets and industries. From market trends, mergers and acquisitions to current management theory and company overviews. Access business and trade journals, newspapers and company directory profiles with full text and images.

General Reference Center Gold    1980 - Present
A general interest database that integrates a variety of sources - newspapers, reference books, magazines, and trade publications. Find articles on current events, popular culture, business and industry trends, the arts and sciences, sports, hobbies, and more.

Gale Virtual Reference Library   
Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research.

Additional Links and Services:

Interlibrary Loan: The staff of Lindsay Library can obtain books from other libraries to help you in your research.  To interlibrary loan a book, check with the librarian.  Your item should arrive in 3-5 days.
