Marian Court College Toasts Nordstrom Burlington at Beacon Award Ceremony & Annual Fundraiser
Marian Court College honored Nordstrom Burlington at the Beacon Award Ceremony & Annual Fundraiser on Tuesday, April 14 at The Seaport Hotel in Boston. The well-attended event featured a silent auction and a very lively live auction. Nordstrom Burlington was chosen as the recipient of the Beacon Award for providing Marian Court College's Fashion Merchandising students with exciting, hands-on learning experiences.

Marian Court College Fashion Merchandising Students Partner with Liberty Tree Mall for Prom Fest 2009
Students majoring in Fashion Merchandising at Marian Court College assisted with Prom Fest 2009 at the Liberty Tree Mall on Friday, March 27, 2009. Marian Court students coordinated the Men's fashion show, and served as judges for the Create a Prom Dress contest. High school students learned about the latest trends in prom attire and accessories and had a chance to win great prom-related prizes. Fashion Merchandising majors and admissions reps were on hand to talk to prospective students about the Fashion Merchandising major and other programs at Marian Court College.

Marian Court College Partners with North Shore Fairy Godmother Project
Marian Court College was serving as a drop-off site for prom dresses, and other prom essentials, to benefit local teens in need, an annual effort organized by the North Shore Fairy Godmother Project. Learn more! Press release (PDF).

Calvin Coolidge Portrayed at Marian Court College
Calvin Coolidge: More Than Two Words
was presented in the Mercy Center at Marian Court College on Wednesday evening, March 11 at 7:00 p.m. The event, arranged by Historical Entertainments, was free, open to the public and well attended.

Actor Jim Cooke brought Calvin Coolidge to life on the 85th anniversary of his election as President of the United States. President Coolidge governed the country from the mansion now known as Marian Court for two summers while residing there with friends.

Marian Court College Welcomed Guest Speaker Michael Dukakis on Wed., October 22, 2008 at 6:00 p.m.
Former Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis was the featured speaker as part of Marian Court College's Cultural Events program. The sometimes humorous, consistently poignant talk focused on the speaker's perspective, as a former presidential candidate, on the upcoming election. Dukakis answered questions fielded by a large audience consisting of students to senior citizens.

Marian Court College Inaugurates Third President at Community Awards Ceremony
Marian Court College in Swampscott inaugurated its third president at an awards ceremony on Thursday, May 15, 2008. The event also served as a fundraiser to help launch the new Presidential Leadership Scholarship and honored an alumna and a local organization with awards for their contributions to the Marian Court College community. Marian Court College Receives Grant from Eastern Bank
Marian Court College recently received $18,000 from Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation to fund Bridges to the Future, a program developed by Marian Court College to assist economically disadvantaged high school seniors by enabling them to take a college course as part of their high school curriculum. Made possible by a grant provided by Eastern Bank, area high school students will have the chance to enroll in a technology foundations course taught on campus by Marian Court faculty. Learn more!
