Congratulations to our students who have made the Dean's List for the Fall 2011 semester.
Students with a semester average of 3.5 or better achieve placement on the Dean’s List. To be eligible, students must have earned 12 credits or more during the semester and have no incompletes. Students enrolled in the evening program are eligible for Dean’s List if they have earned 12 credits during Sessions 1 and 2, or 15 or more credits during Sessions 3, 4, and the Summer Session, and have no incompletes.
This academic success requires much hard work and determination. Our Dean's List students are an inspiration to us all. May you have continued success as you work toward your academic and career goals!
On behalf of the entire Marian Court College faculty and staff, congratulations, take time to celebrate your success, and keep up the great work.
Sincerely,
Dean Hammon

Looking for a way to pass along your text books that you no longer need (or never want to see again?) Then bring them to the library as part of "The Book Swap."
How it works: Students bring textbooks that they no longer need to the library, where the books are designated with a sticker designating it as a part of The Book Swap. The book goes on the Swap Shelf and may be used by students as they need them throughout the semester. We ask that they return books to the shelf when they are done using them. The books should be current editions and in usable condition.
Once brought in, all books become property of the Swap Shelf.
Questions? Contact Mia Morgan in the library.

Marian Court College Supports North Shore Fairy Godmother Project
Marian Court College is supporting the North Shore Fairy Godmother Project for the 5th year.
Marian Court College will be collecting new and "gently worn" formal dresses and accessories from students and members of the community throughout February and March. The College has teamed up again this year with The Northshore Fairy Godmother Project (northshorefairygodmother.org), an organization that collects the items and donates them to financially disadvantaged high school students in Massachusetts so they can attend their high school formal occasions in style.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our Fashion Merchandising students and the local community to give back,” said Marian Court College Dean of Academic Affairs & Student Services, Dr. Denise Hammon. “Last year we collected over 30 gowns for the program. We hope to exceed that goal this year.”
If you are interested in donating formal wear or accessories, please bring items to Marian Court College, 35 Little’s Point Road, Swampscott, MA, between 8:30am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Items will be collected through March 20th. For more information, contact Michele Ahouse, Vice President of Development and Marketing at 781-309-5279 or mahouse@mariancourt.edu. |
